Before you commit

Your questions answered

The terms most parents want to know before they spend anything · last updated 25 July 2026

Everything below is in the written agreement you would sign. It is here first so you can read it before you talk to me, rather than after.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No. The programme runs month to month. There is no minimum term, no tie-in, no joining fee and no exit fee.

How do I stop if it isn't working?

Tell me in writing before the 20th of the month and the programme ends at the close of that month. No reason needed, no penalty. You keep every report and plan already issued.

Invoices go out on the 25th, so a notice deadline before that date means you are never billed for a month you have already ended.

What if we leave Riyadh?

Fourteen days' written notice at any point in the month, and the unused part of that month is refunded pro rata by session. If you would like to continue online from wherever you land, we can do that instead. Either way I will write a closing summary for the new school or tutor, free.

Is the audit fee refundable?

Cancel before the first assessment session and you get all of it back. Between the first and second session, half is retained and you receive whatever work has been produced. After the second session it is not refundable, because the assessment is finished and the report is being written — and the report reaches you either way.

If I deliver the report more than ten working days late without agreeing a new date with you in advance, you get the fee back on request and you still get the report. A late report is my failure, not a reason to withhold work you have paid for.

What happens if my child misses a session?

Twenty-four hours' notice or more: one rebooking credit, used within 30 days, with two alternative slots offered. Less than 24 hours: the session counts as delivered — with one waiver per school term for genuine illness or an emergency.

What if you cancel?

I make it up within 30 days, or you take a credit or refund equal to one eighth of the monthly fee. The choice is yours, not mine. No more than two credits are ever outstanding; on a third you are offered a refund or an unbilled month instead. Sessions owed are either delivered or paid back — they are never quietly forgotten.

What about school holidays, Ramadan and Eid?

The eight dates are planned around them before the invoice is issued, so nothing depends on an informal rollover. If you would rather pause for a longer break, one unbilled pause month is available in each rolling twelve months and it holds your place.

Can the price change?

Only on at least 30 days' written notice, and never retrospectively.

What if I don't pay on time?

Sessions are suspended after written notice, and if it is still outstanding 14 days after a formal reminder the agreement can be ended. There is no late fee.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and I will not pretend otherwise. No grade, test result, scholarship or school place is guaranteed. Progress depends on things outside my control. What I commit to is professional skill and care, accurate records, and candid reporting — including when a month has been flat.

You audit my child and then sell me the programme. Isn't that a conflict?

Yes, and you should weigh it. Three things follow from it. The audit is priced and contracted separately, so it stands on its own. If the honest finding is that you don't need ongoing support, the report says so and I will tell you. And no fee, discount or credit depends on the recommendation being favourable.

If you go on to the programme, half the audit fee is credited to your first month. There is no deadline on that — take as long as you need to decide. You are told that before the audit begins, not after — and it changes nothing in the report.

Who do I complain to if the problem is you?

A complaint about me should not have to come to me. An independent contact is being appointed and will be named in the complaint route you receive at onboarding, before the programme starts. Until then, say so plainly in writing and I will put you in touch with an appropriate third party. Anything else comes to hello@riyadhtutoring.com — acknowledged in writing within two business days, substantive reply within ten.

What happens to my child's information?

Set out in full in the Privacy Notice. In short: only what the work requires, never sold or passed on, deleted on request. Any case-study use needs a separate written consent, and declining changes nothing about the service you receive.

Anything not answered here, ask me directly. If the answer is one you won't like, you will still get it.
